General Surgery

General Surgery – a specialty that focuses an extensive range of conditions.  Surgeons are able to provide care in completing outpatient elective procedures or procedures for the critically ill.

Various conditions are treated at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital by such procedures:

  • Appendectomy: a surgical procedure in which the patient’s appendix is removed.
  • Colorectal Surgery: a surgical procedure that address disorders effecting the rectum, anus and colon.
  • Hernia Repair: a surgical procedure to correct a hernia (tissue bulging out through an opening of muscles in the abdominal wall).
  • Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: a surgical procedure in which the patient’s gallbladder is removed.
